Professional Development

Certification and Memberships

ACE encourages employees to enhance knowledge and skills, and to network with other professionals. ACE recognizes that for development purposes, employees may need to attend training seminars or workshops conducted off-site or join professional associations that will enable them to remain abreast of the best practices in their respective fields.

Full-time employees that have been employed by the company for six months are eligible for the following paid benefits as approved by their manager, within the limits of the departmental budget:

  • Professional Exams (one time)
  • Certificate programs and credentials
  • Workshops, seminars and/or conferences
  • Memberships in professional organizations

The paid benefit must have a direct relationship to the job the employee performs. Supporting documentation that outlines the benefits to be gained by the company as a result of the paid benefit may be requested by the employee’s manager or Human Resources.

Employees will purchase the benefit and then submit a request for reimbursement via Concur after obtaining their manager’s written approval. ACE reserves the right to determine which paid benefits are in the best interest of the company, its future planning and direction. Benefits that do not have manager’s approval prior to purchasing may NOT be reimbursed. ACE will not pay for a second exam if the first exam is not passed.
