Leave of Absence: Military Leave

If you are a member of the military reserve and are required to participate in reserve training or military service, ACE will grant an unpaid military leave of absence in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). You will need to provide HR with a copy of your Active Duty orders. Benefits during military leave and reinstatement following completion of military leave will be granted in accordance with USERRA and any other applicable law.

You will continue to be responsible for your portion of the health insurance premiums while you are out on a military leave of absence. You must make arrangements with HR to pay your portion of the premium during your leave period. Failure to pay your portion of the premiums will result in termination of your insurance and, only upon returning from your leave, will you be added back to the benefit plans. You will continue to accrue PTO time while you are out on military leave.

Upon completion of your tour of duty, you will be able to return to work for ACE in accordance with your rights under USERRA. Contact HR for further details.
