Inclement Weather

Severe weather is to be expected during certain months of the year. ACE will make every effort to maintain normal working hours even during severe weather conditions. Employees must use their own judgment to decide if it is safe to come to work in a severe weather situation. If you do not report to work due to severe weather, you must notify your supervisor before the start of your regular scheduled work day in compliance with the Attendance Policy. Employees who do not report to work because of severe weather when the business remains open may elect whether to take time off without pay or use PTO. If an announcement has not been made by a member of the exectutive team or your supervisor, please assume that the office will be open as usual unless the state or local government has issued a public emergency notice with respect to travel; such a notice will supersede any announcement by ACE.

For off-site events such as conventions or information sessions, your immediate supervisor will contact you directly. On days when weather conditions worsen as the day progresses ACE may decide to close early. Employees are expected to remain at work until the announced closing time, or until they receive permission from their supervisor to do otherwise.
