Benefits Continuation (COBRA)

Under the Consolidated Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), you and your eligible dependents may continue your coverage if that coverage ends under certain circumstances (called qualifying events). Some common qualifying events are: termination of employment; reduction in your work hours to below thirty (30) hours per week; divorce or legal separation; and a dependent child no longer meeting eligibility requirements as defined by your health plan. You and your dependents may continue coverage for a certain period of time by paying the full plan cost plus an administrative charge. Please contact HR for additional information.
