Endorsement Description
Courses in this sequence are approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as meeting the coursework requirements for the Supervisory Endorsement* for Illinois residents. The two designated Illinois content areas are listed under the Course List. Students enroll as “Students at Large” at ACE to complete the required courses for their endorsement. They must select three courses: one from each category and a third from either category.

- *Supervisory endorsements can only be added to PELs with one of the following endorsements: Learning Behavior Specialist I, Teacher of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired, Teacher of Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, Speech Language Pathologist, Early Childhood Special Education, or School Support Personnel (School Social Worker, School Nurse, School Counselor, School Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist).
- Upon completion, the three educational leadership courses, EL5623, EL5033, and EL5703, will transfer to the M.Ed. Educational Leadership degree.
- Upon completion, the two teacher leadership courses, LEAD5533 and LEAD5373, will transfer to the M.Ed. Instructional Coaching and Teacher Leadership degree.
