Program Description
The mission of the Certificate in Adult Education and Training program prepares students to utilize teaching skills in an environment that requires professional development, team building, or training to improve personal, collaborative skills in adults. Through evidence-based research and critical analysis, students are taught theories of interaction through experiential activities that can be applied to training opportunities.
Program Outcomes
- Apply adult learning principles to varied organizational settings. (AO1)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess organizational training needs and current program effectiveness. (AO2)
- Create learning opportunities that meet the needs of all adult learners. (AO3)
- Foster a growth mindset through continuous evaluation of emerging issues and challenges in adult learning. (AO5)
- Utilize technology to create engaging adult learning opportunities. (AO4)
