Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies is a transfer-friendly degree completion program with a focus of study in either education or management. The program includes an embedded certificate in Essential Employability Skills that allows students to enhance their professional skills in a variety of areas such as collaboration, cultural awareness, organization, reflection, and self-efficacy.
Program Outcomes
- Demonstrate skills including reflection, self-assessment and using appropriate judgement in professional environments to facilitate experiences addressing diversity.
- Demonstrate social awareness and cultural sensitivity.
- Select approaches which exercise multiple perspectives to engage team members as they consider evidence for generating new options which also help establish and maintain a climate of mutual respect.
- Demonstrate self-control, endurance, and capacity to complete tasks while adjusting to changing situations and responsibilities.
- Examine the appropriate essential employability skills necessary for effective communication, decision-making, initiative and problem solving.
- Explore foundational topics in the professional fields of business or education.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies program is to provide students with the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree utilizing previously earned credits and coursework focused on professional skills.

Focus of Study Options
Education
This focus of study is designed to help students gain the necessary knowledge in the area of education. It provides a framework focused on the teacher as a professional, the philosophy and history of education, as well as development of the learner.
Management
This focus of study is designed to help students gain the necessary knowledge in the area of management and business. It provides a framework focused on collaborative business communication, project management and social entrepreneurship.

*60 credits required for admission and *30 additional credits which can be taken at ACE or elsewhere

Any three courses selected from above.
Note
Students are required to complete ninety (90) semester credits in addition to the credits listed in ACE course list for satisfactory completion of the program. Inclusive of the ninety (90) semester credits, a required thirty (30) semester credits of general education must align with the Indiana College Core as defined in the College’s General Education Requirements policy. These credits can be acquired prior to program enrollment or while enrolled in the program.
