Contest Compliance

Contest Promotion

Contest Announcement must state:

Eligibility and contest term

  • Prize description - Value and number of prizes
  • How to enter
  • Date and location of drawing and how winner(s) will be notified

Note:

 

Entry Application:

  • Must state - The current Request for Information (RFI) consent disclosure on the submit page.
  • ​May also state - Named winners who do not respond to claim their prize within one week from receipt of the initial individual winning confirmation email will have their prize forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Alternate winner(s) will be given the same one-week period to respond to an initial individual winning confirmation email. See Official Terms and Conditions .​
  • May also state - Winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable local, state, federal, or other applicable taxes related to the receipt of the prize and paying any costs associated with the prize that are not specified in the rules. The College encourages winners to seek tax advice from a qualified tax professional regarding their individual tax situation.

 

Individual Award Notification:

  • Must state - That they are the named winner and how and when to claim the prize.​
  • Must also state - You are required to claim your prize within one week from receipt of this notification the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected. See Official Terms and Conditions .
