Employment At-Will, Introductory Period, & EEO

Employment At-Will Disclaimer

All employees are employed “At-Will.” “At-Will” employment means that either the employee or ACE may terminate the employment relationship at any time for any reason or for no reason, with or without notice. Nothing in this handbook or otherwise is intended to or should be understood to create any contractual right in any employee or to change any employee’s status as an At-Will employee.

Introductory Period

ACE wants to ensure all employees are well suited and happy with their positions. Toward that end, all new employees, and employees assuming new positions are subject to a 90-day introductory period during which time an employee’s work performance, professional demeanor and general work habits will be reviewed. A formal review will be given near or at the end of the introductory period to establish a baseline performance, as well as discuss future goals. During this 90-day introductory period, should either the employee or ACE feel, for any reason, that the employment relationship is not beneficial either can terminate employment, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Completion of this 90-day introductory period does not guarantee continued employment for any specified period of time. Additionally, employment for a minimum of 90-days is not guaranteed or required. Unless otherwise required by law, all employees are employed “at-will” and are able to leave employment at any time, for any reason. Similarly, ACE is free to terminate employment with or without cause, at any time.

Equal Employment Opportunity

ACE provides for equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin or ancestry, marital status, veteran status, physical or mental disability, or any other legally protected status or characteristic. Discrimination or harassment based on any of those factors is inconsistent with ACE’s philosophy and will not be tolerated.

All employees at all levels must comply with our policies and procedures and applicable law. Every member of the management team is required to provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees and treat them with dignity and respect.

If you have a suggestion, problem, or complaint, please immediately contact your supervisor or manager. We will promptly respond to all matters brought to our attention. Please do not hesitate to consult with HR at any stage of your inquiry.

If you report that there has been a violation of the Equal Employment Opportunity policy, ACE will follow standard investigative practices.
